ODA Communications Officer, reports almost $1M wasted on ineffective CDCP marketing

Dear fellow ODA members,


Mr. Staviss (ODA Communication Officer) received very negative feedback from dentists about the recent CDCP marketing campaign. Despite the poor reception and several dentists bringing feedback from leading marketing agencies about the poor messaging, Mr. Staviss was incensed that we questioned his marketing prowess.


In fact, he lectured the dentists of General Council, informing us that we need to trust him as our marketing expert with our money because he knows best. What was more pathetic is that he was proud of the marketing campaign. He ignored the horrible performance of the video advert, which only reached a paltry few thousand views.


Mr. Staviss took no responsibility for improving this poor performance, nor did he ensure efforts were made to get the full value of our almost $1M spend. We cannot stand for this waste of our membership dollars again. It does not take a marketing expert to know that what he produced is an embarrassment.
